7O Yemen DX Pedition

Hello DXers,
We would like to inform you that we, a group of german radio amateurs
will be active from Sanaa, the Capital of Yemen.
Members of the group are DJ7MG, DK1II, DK9KX and DL5EBE. They will
receive the licence documents in Yemen on April 17 and will start
operation on the same day, departure will be on May 1st.
The group will be active on all HF-Bands in CW under the call sign
7O1II and in SSB under the call 7O1YGF (Yemen-German-Friendship).
Depending on conditions 6 m activity is also planned (Channel 50.204
will be continuously monitored).
QSL-Manager for 7O1II (CW-activity) will be DJ3XD (August Unterwallney,
Am Kummerberg 30, 30900 Wedemark 2, Germany) and
for 7O1YGF will be DK9KX (Hans Hannappel, Eschenbruchstr. 1, 51069
Cologne, Germany).
QSL via bureau is also accepted. The aim of the operation is to give
as many amateurs as possible the opportunity to work 7O as new DXCC-
entity.

Ｅメール。
イエ−メンの首都サナア(Sanaa) で４月１７日にライセンスを受け取り、
当日からＱＲＶが開始されるとの事です。 運用は今月いっぱい。

９６年１２月にＪＨ１ＡＪＴ等による７Ｏ１ＡのＱＲＶがあったがＤＸＣＣ
には認められず。

チームからのＥメールがＤＫ９ＫＸによってＤＸのＭＬに流されました。(See the
final lines.)
ＤＫ９ＫＸによるとドイツチームは帰国していると。(Ｗ局からの別のＥメール)
問題は、公式の免許状を得ないままの運用だったのです。
イエーメン当局から、例え口頭でＯＫを貰ったとしても、追って backdate つまり
さかのぼって有効のライセンスが貰えなければ、今回の７Ｏ１ＹＧＦはＤＸＣＣに
はノーカウントになってしまうと云う事を意味します。

1) 事前の計画では「１７日に現地でライセンスを受取り同日からＱＲＶを開始
する」となっており、その通りに１７日から運用を開始した。
2) 彼等が JH1AJT 等による 7O1A と同様の轍を踏むとは思わなかった
からです。
彼等に言いたいのは、「世界中の何万人にも迷惑が掛かるかも知れないのに、
何故はやる気持ちを抑えきれずに運用をしたのか」。
「正式免許が得られる感触があったのなら、それを完全に物にしてから運用
すべきだった」と。
私には、１９９０年からのエンティティー。場合によってはもう１、２年待たねば
ならぬかも。

7O1YGF
Sana'a Apr. 26, 00
Dear fellow Dxers,
After 10 days of activity we have been kindly asked by the authorities to
terminate our radio transmission. The reason for that is, that until now
no agreement on the final status of this unique special activity could be
reached.
In this sense our earlier press statement, that the licence will be granted
immediately after arrival on April 17 has to be corrected.
For this statement given, based on misunderstandings, we ask the DX-Community
to accept our apology.
Nevertheless, the activity 7O1YGF is for the time being still in the process
of approval We expect a written confirmation therefore in due time.
During this activity we were able to make about 35000 QSOs from 6 to 40 m
using CW, SSB ant RTTY. We are happy that we were able to give the DX-Community
the opportunity to work 7O, we thank the Dxers for calling us and we apologize
to those who could not make it this time.
Last but not least our very special thanks goes to the people of the Republic
of Yemen who hosted us and to the kind authorities for their constructive
cooperation and support to finalize the issue and approve the establishment
of amateur radio in Yemen.
We congratulate the people and the president of Yemen on the 10. Anniversary of
reunification which falls on the 22nd of May, 2000.幹.
